Fresh Start Program

For parents struggling to remain compliant with their treatment, the Fresh Start Program is available. Working one-on-one with case managers, parents make steady progress towards reuniting with their child by gaining essential parenting skills through an intensive parenting education curriculum. Parents participating in the Fresh Start Program attend weekly sessions for approximately 10-12 weeks. Upon graduation, parents transition to supervised visitation with their child and continued parenting education classes.

Parent must have a substantial case of child abuse and/or neglect, or have an open DCP&P case for care and supervision to be eligible for the program. To be eligible for transportation to the program, families must live in
Atlantic County.

The Fresh Start Program operates Tuesday and Friday from 11:00 am-1:00 pm.
