AmeriCorps VISTA is a highly professional and rigorous national service program, through which members serve in capacity building roles.

Full-time, one-year VISTA Service

As an AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America), you can build capacity and infrastructure development to solve community problems and to help strengthen individuals and communities. Through activities such as grant writing, establishment of community volunteer recruitment and management systems, fundraising, IT related infrastructure, community outreach, and collaborative development, VISTA members mobilize local resources to address community needs.  VISTA members generally do not provide direct service, such as working directly with children or leading family activities, and instead focus on capacity building efforts. VISTAs focus efforts on building organizational, administrative, and financial capacity with the goal of achieving transformative and sustainable outcomes.

Serving as an AmeriCorps VISTA at Center For Family Services is a great way for you to positively impact an area of high need, and also provides an excellent professional development opportunity.
