The Youth and Family Pride Center provides an array of services for youth and young adults age 8-25 identifying as LGBTQ+ and their families. Working with schools and other community partners, the Youth and Family Pride Center connect with youth and young adults who are struggling with mental health challenges, bullying, acceptance, and in need of support.
The program also offers trainings on inclusivity.
The Youth and Family Pride Center provides:
- Individual, short-term counseling
- Support groups for youth and families
- Life skills training
- Psycho-educational for youth allies and families
- Mentoring
- Access to LGBTQ+ resources such as therapy, health care, housing and more
Mentoring Services
The Youth and Family Pride Center provides trained mentors to engage in building a caring, nurturing relationship with youth to help develop confidence, self-esteem, and life skills through goal oriented activities. Mentors are matched with mentees based on common interests and work with them to reach their goals 4 hours per month for 6-12 months.
