Family Crisis Intervention Unit (FCIU) helps youth and families resolve problems before they escalate to a crisis or the point of court involvement. The program provides 24/7 crisis response and stabilization services to divert youth from involvement with the youth justice system.
FCIU staff are trained to manage the challenges that arise with family dynamics and the various issues youth may experience, such as issues with truancy, disregard for rules, runaway behavior, sex trafficking, and family conflict or crisis situation. Staff support families to stabilize the family, resolve and improve severe behavioral and school-related problems, and prevent the need for court involvement and out-of-home placement.
FCIU provides:
- supportive counseling, assessment and case management
- services to promote positive youth development
- conflict resolution and coping skills for adolescents and their families
- short term counseling & case management
- linkages to available community resources
- advocacy and community collaboration support
- diversionary workshops
- services in-person at our office, in-home, in-community, by phone, or via telehealth
Our trained professional staff focus on encouraging safe choices and behaviors in an effort to promote safe, healthy futures for children and their families.
The program offers a flexible schedule to accommodate families.
