Mother Child
Are you pregnant or a young mother in need of housing support.
Mother Child has emergency safe housing available for women who are pregnant or parenting young children and experiencing housing instability or homelessness.
Services are free and confidential.
- Emergency shelter for mother and child.
- On-site counseling.
- Intensive case management
- Educational classes focused on parenting, anger management, communication, & substance abuse
- Assistance with creating and implementing goals for self-sufficiency with a focus on education, employment, & housing
- Transitional housing
- Bilingual services available
During the approximate three-month stay at Mother Child, women receive support to:
- Develop and implement an intensive case management plan to meet self-sufficiency goals.
- Develop and meet educational goals for education, employment, and housing.
- Participate in on-site educational workshops focused on life skills, parenting, nutrition, healthy living, home management & communication skills.
- Attend supportive counseling sessions as needed.
- Secure permanent housing.

Eligibility
Mother Child is open to expectant women and mothers age 18-21 and their young children in need of shelter in New Jersey.
Referral Information
Open referral. Mother Child has open beds and is now accepting referrals, including self-referral.
