CAP is a statewide prevention program that provides community based assault prevention programs for parents, school staff, and students. This educational approach offers skills and knowledge to all involved in ensuring children are safe. Through a combination of three workshops involving children, school staff and parents, CAP educates and empowers the community to keep children SAFE, STRONG, and FREE!
CFS provides the CAP program at schools in Camden and Burlington Counties.
Our workshops include: adult programs, preschool programs, kindergarten programs, Grades 1-6, special needs and Teen CAP. Our age appropriate classroom workshops are designed to meet the needs of all students.
Children from Preschool to High School: Receive age-appropriate instruction on dealing with bullying, strangers and uncomfortable touching by someone they know. Role playing, songs and interactive workshops keep students entertained and engaged.
School Staff: Receive a comprehensive approach to assault prevention with information and resources on identifying abused children and discussing difficult situations with children.
Parents: Receive positive encouragement and learn effective ways to support prevention and empowerment strategies at home, school and in the community.
