Are you interested in becoming a certified volunteer Domestic Violence Response Team (DVRT) Member/Confidential Sexual Violence Advocate (CSVA)? Center For Family Services needs your help! The Services Empowering Rights of Victims (SERV) program is looking for reliable, dedicated, and caring volunteers to respond to hospitals and police departments to assist victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in their greatest time of need. If you're passionate about this cause and meet the following requirements, please consider applying to become a SERV volunteer.

You must be at least 18 years old, have access to a reliable vehicle, agree to be on-call for service, and complete a pre-screening interview. This role also requires attendance at six or more volunteer meetings per year, as well as a one-year commitment to service. The model volunteer will provide compassionate, empathetic, and victim-centered care to survivors of trauma.

Our next 60-hour training session for residents of Gloucester County begins on January 8, 2019, and runs until February 12, 2019. Trainings will take place at Rowan College at Gloucester County on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. for the duration of the program. Attendance at all sessions is mandatory. An additional 16 hours of online training are also required before the conclusion of the program.
