The Camden Night Gardens has become an annual event that kicks off the summer program Connect the Lots. Although the weather proved to be a challenge this year, it stopped raining just enough for the event to go on and residents did not seem to mind the few drops at all.

The event which took place from 7pm - 11pm at Cooper’s Point Waterfront Park featured six food trucks that each brought a different flavor, popular music, games, music performances from local artist, a hot air balloon, acrobats, stilt walkers, and local vendors transformed the ordinary park into a magical spring night.

Not only did the event offer a chance for the community to connect, it brings people to an underutilized space and gives residents as well as visitors a chance to see what is going on the community and the talent that is present here.

This event it just the first of many Connect the Lots events which will span throughout the summer and connect neighborhoods and bring residents together for outdoor summer fun!
