Rutgers Food Innovation Center (FIC) has been around since 2000 and has been helping people achieve their goals since then. The center works with people to help them get their products to market and has worked with over 2,000 companies since 2001. As a food incubator, they do fee for service and working with a food incubator center increases success significantly.

The center has two locations, one in Bridgeton and the other in Piscataway working together to cover the entire state of New Jersey. From start to finish, they help those looking for a way to break into the food market. Training & specialized services, business & technical mentoring, investor engagement, product manufacturing are just some of the many services the center offer to assist with in the process.

FIC has international as well as local partners and their cliental list continues to grow. 70% of people who took a product to launch are still in business and FIC had a helping hand in the success. FIC capabilties include sensory evaluation, product development, food safety plans, concept development and consumer research amongst others.

This center allows people to come to them at whatever level in the process and they will act as a guide in an industry that is tough to break in to.  The facilty sits on 25 acres and the center well kept and constantly cleaned especially after use for developing products.

In Bridgeton, they are currently adding a building that will act as co-packing space to further their services. This building will allow partners to hold their products there for a certain amount of time for a discounted price.
