Center For Family Services is proud to offer a new community resource in Camden designed to meet people where they are: the Harm Reduction Center.

Located at 560 Benson Street in Camden, NJ, the Harm Reduction Center is a welcoming, fixed-site, low-barrier space focused on reducing the harms associated with substance use while helping individuals make informed decisions about their health and future.

At the Harm Reduction Center, we believe every person deserves to be treated with dignity, compassion and respect regardless of their circumstances, substance use, housing status, recovery goals or life experiences. Whether someone is working toward recovery, practicing safer use, unsure about their next step or simply looking for someone to talk to, support is available.

  • The anticipated impact of this program on individuals is receiving assistance in finding new pathways to a healthier future

  • The staff at the harm reduction center will listen, learn, and collaborate with individuals to ensure services reflect their needs, experiences, and goals

  • The staff at the harm reduction center can help individuals through radical compassion, evidence-based practices, and unwavering respect for personal choice. We meet people where they are, reduce barriers to care, and support each person’s journey toward improved well-being and quality of life

Services and resources may include safer-use supplies, overdose prevention education, basic needs assistance, treatment referrals and recovery support. The center can also be a place to connect with someone who will listen without judgment and help identify resources based on individual needs and goals.

No Appointment Necessary

Accessing support should be as easy as possible. Walk-in services are available, and no appointment is required. Adults age 18 and older are eligible for services.
