Alberta Woods Park Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

On Wednesday September 5th, 2018 Camden Leaders reopened and shared with residents particularly the kids the new and improved Alberta Woods Park. 

Camden leaders like Mayor Frank Moran, Susan Bass Levin and Jeffrey Nash along with parents and students spoke about what this park meant to them and the city. The park which was designed by the children of the neighborhood symbolizes the renaissance of Camden, where new old areas are being cleaned up and new areas are being created both to be utilized and celebrated in the City of Camden. 

Camden Receives $1.7 million Job Plus Grant

Camden's Housing Authority Receives $1.7 million Grant from HUD (U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development. At the grant announcement on September o4, 2018 in Alblett Village Comminuty Center, HUD annnounced Camden would be recieving a Job Plus grant to help public housing residents of the city put their skills to use. 

Demolition of Camden Labs Due to Illegal Dumping

An old Camden Lab (Camden Labs) is set to be demolished due to the site becoming an illegal dumping ground. The project is spearheaded by Camden Collabative Innitative and has the backing of Mayor Francisco :Frank" Moran.

This abbdoned building will be turned into recreational space for the neigborhood to promote a sense of community and give residents a clean environment to enjoy, work and live in.

Once completed, this lot will be an expansion of Whitman Park and added facilties will include a basketball court, football and baseball field.
