Take a stand against violence in your community! Join Center For Family Services for our Empower 5k Run & 1 Mile Walk to raise awareness and show your support for ending violence and abuse in our community.
New this year! Walk or run the race in someone's honor or memory.
The Empower 5k Run & 1 Mile Walk is all about empowerment and joining together as a community to raise awareness against violence in southern New Jersey. Violence and trauma touches all our lives - as a survivor, as the loved one of a survivor, as advocates.
At this year's event, we invite you to walk or run in honor/memory of someone whose life has been affected by violence or someone who has paved the way for services that support survivors. We encourage you to start a team in honor or memory of that special person.
Start a team that celebrates the:
- Healing & empowerment of a survivor
- Memory of lost loved ones
- Passion of a local advocate
Your involvement as a runner, walker, sponsor, or donor will support survivors and send the message that our community wants to put an end to violence. Event proceeds will provide 24/7 crisis intervention, counseling, advocacy and safe housing for victims of violence and trauma and their families.
Attendees may enter Washington Lake Park by the Hurffville Cross Keys Road entrance. Parking is available in Lots D & E.
