Thank you for participating in our Empower 5k Run & 1 Mile Walk on Saturday, September 9. Because of you, $29,000 was raised to provide victims of violence and their families access to the resources necessary to heal and advocate for the cause. You took a stand and spoke out against violence.

We look forward to seeing you next year on Saturday, September 29, 2018!

New this year! Walk or run the race in someone's honor or memory.

The Empower 5k Run & 1 Mile Walk is all about empowerment and joining together as a community to raise awareness against violence in southern New Jersey. Violence and trauma touches all our lives - as a survivor, as the loved one of a survivor, as advocates.

At this year's event, we invite you to walk or run in honor/memory of someone whose life has been affected by violence or someone who has paved the way for services that support survivors. We encourage you to start a team in honor or memory of that special person.

Start a team that celebrates the:

  • Healing & empowerment of a survivor
  • Memory of lost loved ones
  • Passion of a local advocate

Your involvement as a runner, walker, sponsor, or donor will support survivors and send the message that our community wants to put an end to violence. Event proceeds will provide 24/7 crisis intervention, counseling, advocacy and safe housing for victims of violence and trauma and their families.

Attendees may enter Washington Lake Park by the Hurffville Cross Keys Road entrance. Parking is available in Lots D & E.
