Pre-Race

5k Course Set-up

Time: 6:45 am
Description: Work with TNT Event to ensure all mile markers are on the course, start/finish line is set up, and water station is set up.

Event Site Set-up

Time: 6:45am-8:00am
Description: Assist in the overall set up of tents, signage, tables, chairs, registration area, decorations, etc.

Walk Course Set-up

Time: 6:45 am
Description: Work with TNT Event to ensure the start/finish line is set up and course is marked.

Registration & Packet Pickup

Time: 7:45am-9am
Description: Are you a cool, calm, detail-oriented person who works well under pressure? Then help us with registration! You will distribute runners' bib numbers, hand out T-shirts, answer questions, accept registration forms and fees, assign Race numbers, and keep area clean and well-stocked. You will be given a brief training session so you know exactly what to do and staff will be available during the registration and packet pickup.

Traffic Control

Time: 7:45am-8:45am
Description: Volunteers will be strategically stationed to direct participants to available parking lots and park entrance. Assist in maintaining traffic flow and help manage parking. Close lots as they fill. Assist participants in getting to the correct areas of the event for packet pick up, registration, restrooms, etc. Volunteers must be assertive and be able to give direction.

During Race

Site Control Monitor

Time: 8am-11am
Description: Circulate through site, helping to keep site clean and organized. You may be asked to assist in setting up tables, chairs, signage, barricades, removing full garbage bags, etc. Volunteers must have cell phones available at all times during event.

Course Control Monitor

Time: 8:30am-10am
Description: You will spread out over the entire course, help set-up barricades and cones, and monitor turns and intersections. Monitors help runners stay on course and maintain course safety during the event. Volunteers must have cell phones available at all times during event.

Water station

Time: 8am-10am
Description: You will fill and hand out cups of water to runners as they run by. After runners go by, you will clean up the station by raking up cups and filling trash bags. Race staff will drop off and pick up supplies before and after the Race. Race staff will assist you with station set-up.

Finish line

Time: 9:10am-10am
Description: Positioned at the finish line, these individuals assist with timing. Finish line volunteers also direct and assist runners to water and refreshments as well as assist medical personnel if there is a runner in distress.

Kids Fun Run

Time: 9:15am-10am
Description: Help set up Kids 50 Yard Dash, gather kids to participate, cheer kids on, and hand out goody bags.

Post-Race

Refreshments & Snacks

Time: 7:30am-11am
Description: Assist with setting up refreshments and snacks for pre and post-race. Keep water cold and on ice, restock cups, napkins, drinks. Help prepare and serve fruit, bagels, coffee. Assist with clean up after event.

Race Tear Down

Time: 11am
Description: Following the Race, all materials will be broken down and loaded on trucks for return and storage. Volunteers will break-down tables, tents, chairs, trash cans and banners. This activity may require some heavy lifting.
