Women Learn to Fight for Themselves and Their Community
CHERRY HILL-Dozens of women came out to a martial-arts studio Sunday afternoon to fight back and bring awareness to the dangers of sexual assault in their community.
The event at Israeli Krav Maga of Cherry Hill raised more than $1000 in suppor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
The funds will be split between two local organizations: CONTACT of Burlington County and Center For Family Services, which serves Camden, Gloucester, and Cumberland Counties, said Don Melnick, an owner-instructor at the business.
