As the Affordable Care Act enrollment deadline inches closer, the Center for Family Services (CFS) and Rutgers University will host an enrollment event at Rutgers University's Camden campus on Friday.
The Feb. 6 event will be held nine days before the enrollment deadline and, in light of the fact that young adults are more likely to be uninsured, is being held at the school.
"Studies show that one in four adults under the age of 35 is living without health care, this is the highest percentage of uninsured adults of any age group," organizers said.
The event will provide participants with information about the Health Insurance Marketplace and the opportunity to get enrolled in health care coverage with the help of free, in-person enrollment assistance.
What's more, CFS, one of New Jersey's four federally funded navigator exchanges, has partnered with Get Covered America to reach more of South Jersey's uninsured by way of a handful of dates across Camden, Cumberland, and Gloucester counties.
