With less than 2 weeks remaining during the Affordable Care Act's open enrollment period, non profit groups are ramping up efforts to help uninsured South Jersey residents learn more about their coverage options.

People are twice as likely to enroll if they receive free, in-person assistance, explained Alescia Teel, deputy state director of Get Covered America New Jersey.

The Center for Family Services offers free enrollment assistance, and is hosting multiple educational events throughout South Jersey. To learn more about its health insurance navigator program call 1.877-9-ACCESS.
