Center for Family Services is seeking a person with at least 2 years of personal recovery to assist individuals who are contemplating recovery, in early recovery, or who have other recovery based goals for the Living Proof Recovery Center. The Recovery Center offers connections to resource information, assistance with accessing available resources, recovery support services, wellness classes, peer mentoring and coaching, and support groups for individuals in the program. The Recovery Coach is an important part of the Living Proof Recovery Center team and contributes to meeting the Center’s goal of being a place of support for all members of the recovery community by assisting with life skills and vocational training, educational assistance, and offering social and recreational activities along with other services. There are 3 part time positions available.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Recovery Coach will be tasked with going to the hospital to assist a person who has overdosed. They maintains contact with members to determine how they are doing and to offer assistance where needed. They assist members in developing and carrying out a service plan that identifies needed skills and services, accessing needed resources, and providing recovery coaching. The Recovery Coach provides and facilitates educational workshops and helps the programs Administrative Assistants and volunteers with routine office tasks, including answering phones, front desk coverage, and photocopying materials for the Recovery Center as needed.

- High School Diploma or GED is required
- Some Peer recovery or Recovery Coach classes preferred
- Two years’ experience in personal recovery
- Pleasant demeanor
- Compassion for others in recovery
- Must embrace Multiple Pathways of Recovery philosophy
- Current driver's license with excellent driving record of at least three years
- Vehicle with current insurance and registration
