Camden nonprofit gets federal grant
CAMDEN – A Camden-based nonprofit has won nearly $765,000 in federal grant money to continue providing federal health insurance enrollment assistance in South Jersey through next summer.
The Center For Family Services is among four grant winners in New Jersey to receive up to $1.9 million from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The agency’s grant is about $87,000 more than it received last year. The awards were announced Monday.
The money will be used to provide in-person assistance from navigators to help the uninsured sign up for coverage through the federal health insurance marketplace. Open enrollment for 2015 coverage begins Nov. 15.
