Washington Lake Park - 646 Hurffville Cross Keys Road, Sewell

Walk or run the race in someone's honor or memory.

The Empower 5k Run & 1 Mile Walk is all about empowerment and joining together as a community to support those who have experienced trauma in their lives - whether the trauma is the result of violence, homelessness, poverty, or addiction or other complex life circumstances. The Empower 5k Run & 1 Mile Walk brings together people who have experienced trauma, their loved ones, and advocates.

At this year's event, we invite you to walk or run in honor/memory of someone whose life has been affected by violence and trauma or someone who has paved the way for services that support survivors. We encourage you to start a team in honor or memory of that special person.

Start a team that celebrates the:

  • Healing & empowerment of a survivor
  • Memory of lost loved ones
  • Passion of a local advocate

Your involvement as a runner, walker, sponsor, or donor will support survivors. Event proceeds will provide counseling, advocacy and safe housing for victims of violence and trauma and their families.

Sponsorship

When you sponsor the Empower 5k Run & 1 Mile Walk you send a message to the community that you are dedicated support services that help victims become survivors. Your partnership with Center For Family Services will play a key role in keeping children and families safe.
