TAFCAR (Treatment Alternatives for Children at Risk)
The TAFCAR program provides in-home intensive education, counseling, and support services to prevent the abuse and neglect of children and case management for families to gain stability. Our staff works closely with the Department of Children and Families, Division of Youth and Family Services supports positive family relationships. Parents are taught how to communicate with their children, how to solve problems, and how to manage their children’s behaviors. By focusing on family strengths, TAFCAR helps families develop a stronger sense of family unity.
Center For Family Services TAFCAR program has been strengthening families for more thank 30 years.
Our dedicated counselors help with:
- building effective relationships
- developing positive parenting skills
- seeking affordable medical care
- household management
- organizational skills
- creating structure and routine
- providing a safe family environment
- managing family finances
- linkages to community resources
TAFCAR is a partnership program with the Division of Youth and Family Services. TAFCAR accepts referrals from DYFS, as well as schools, churches, family court, community-based programs and human service agencies.
