PARTNERS/Differential Response
The PARTNERS/Differential Response program offers coordinated and community based case management to families with the goal of keeping children and families safe. The program provides a different way of responding to the thousands of reports of abuse and neglect that child welfare agencies receive each year. This new approach to evaluating and improving family and child well-being improves a community's ability to keep children safe. The program focuses on responding earlier and more meaningfully to reports of abuse and neglect, before family difficulties escalate to the point of harm.
Differential Response recognizes that situations vary. Many situations do not meet the criteria for a full investigation but involve needs that, if addressed, could stabilize families and help parents to protect their children. Differential Response provides direct services to families experiencing challenges or who have needs that threaten their stability. Differential Response can work directly with families without bringing them into the juvenile court system.
The Clementon Family Success Center is a component of the Differential Response program. Open to all families, the Family Success Center provides a safe and supportive environment with free services such as advocacy, job training, parenting workshops, life skills training, healthcare education, and more.
