The Parent Resource Center helps develop and enhance parenting skills and build stronger families. Through the resource center, parents can access:

  •  Counseling services for individuals and families
  •  Support groups for parents
  •  Parent enrichment workshops
  •  Parent training classes
  •  Books, videos and other information focusing on parenting skills

The Parent Resource Center is a community-based project. Counselors teach concrete skills to help adults face the challenges of parenting:

  • Empowering parents with knowledge and skills needed to be effective parents
  • Enhancing parent and child relationships through better communication
  • Encouraging parents to enjoy their children through play

The Parent Resource Center is a partnership program with the Division of Youth and Family Services. The resource center accepts referrals from DYFS, as well as schools, churches, family court, community-based programs and human service agencies.

Print and complete the referral form and fax all necessary attachments to 856-964-1993. Once the form is received, a fax response will be sent to the DYFS worker in reference to the status of the referral. Contact the Parent Resource Center with any questions, 856-964-1990.
