Program
Highlights:
- Each year, CAP facilitators share a message
of empowerment with children from preschool to 8th grade, teens
in middle and high school, parents and school staff. Last year,
over 1,000 workshops were conducted and more than 11,800 young
people learned how to better handle potentially dangerous situations.
- The Camden Diocese, which encompasses six counties
in southern New Jersey and includes 13 high schools and 57 elementary
schools, has adopted the CAP program as its mandated prevention
program. Throughout the next five years, CAP will bring its interactive,
workshop-based program to staff, clergy, parents and children
of the schools within the Diocese.
- In honor of National Child Abuse Prevention
Month, CAP encouraged school staff, employees within the Division
of Youth and Family Services (DYFS) and the county prosecutor's
office to wear a blue ribbon to signify their commitment to keeping
children safe, strong and free. CAP distributed the ribbons throughout
the month of April.
