Community EducationPrograms and Services

Together Youth Shelter is one of the only short-term, walk-in shelters in Southern New Jersey, providing 24-hour emergency shelter for runaway, homeless and neglected youth ages 9 - 19.

The program works to reunite youth with their families when possible. If returning home is not the safest choice, Together counselors seek alternative, stable living arrangements.

Counselors at the Together Youth Shelter provide support services including:

  • Temporary care such as food, clothing, medical attention and recreation
  • Individual, group and family counseling
  • Substance abuse counseling and education
  • Youth advocacy with DYFS, schools, courts, and police
  • Educational assistance and life skills training
