This program, offered in Camden and Gloucester Counties, provides parenting support to families receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) and/or Food Stamps who have a new baby 12 months or younger. Women in their last trimester receiving General Assistance (GA) are also eligible. TIP is a network that offers real-life parenting skills and support focusing on many areas including healthy child development, good nutrition, continuing education, and employment services. TIP provides a combination of home visits and “in-community” workshops. For TANF clients, the TIP Program may count towards part or all of the required work activity for up to one year.
