Community Educationprograms and services

TAFCAR helps prevent child abuse and neglect by teaching families life skills and techniques in communication, conflict resolution and stress reduction.

Through intensive, in-home services, counseling and parenting education, counselors work with parents to:

  • Manage household skills
  •  Develop positive parenting skills
  •  Seek affordable medical care
  •  Link to community resources
  •  Manage personal finances
  •  Provide a safe living environment for children
  •  Link to housing resources

TAFCAR is a partnership program with the Division of Youth and Family Services. TAFCAR accepts referrals from DYFS, as well as schools, churches, family court, community-based programs and human service agencies.

Print and complete the referral form and fax all necessary attachments to 856-964-1993. Once the form is received, a fax response will be sent to the DYFS worker in reference to the status of the referral. Contact TAFCAR with any questions, 856-964-1990.
