Programs and Services

MST offers in-home family therapy, bringing parents and children together to improve communication and strengthen the family.

Focusing on youth with criminal records who are involved with probation or the juvenile justice system, MST therapists work with their families on:

  • Problem solving
  • Parenting skills
  • Discipline
  • Connecting with other systems

MST therapists work with families to:

  • Strengthen family relationships, empowering parents to monitor, protect and advocate for their children
  • Develop behavior plans that are monitored and reviewed weekly to discourage irresponsible behavior
  • Examine roles of school, peers, probation and the community and their impact on the family unit

Therapists work with families for three to four months visiting families at least twice a week.

MST has proven effective in helping youth with disrespect, disobedience, drug/alcohol problems, excessive school truancy, running away and criminal activity.

The MST program provides therapy for youth as aftercare to Camden Day, Camden Group Home, JJC Aftercare, Parole, and Camden Juvenile Probation. This program is a partnership with MST services from the Medical University of South Carolina.
