Center for Family Services in collaboration with the YMCA Camp Ockanickon sponsor an HIV/AIDS specialty camp annually. Camp Bright Feathers is held at the YMCA Camp Ockanickon in Medford, New Jersey.
Each year, Center For Family Services brings in approximately 100 children between the ages of 7 and 13 infected or affected by HIV/AIDS. The goal of the camp is to give kids the chance to find relief from the daily stresses associated with HIV/AIDS and just be a kid for the week.
The camp is run entirely by volunteers, including medically trained staff from area hospitals, teachers and school counselors. If you are interested in volunteering or would like to support the camp through a donation, please fill out the forms below or email campbrightfeathers@yahoo.com. Some needs include mesh laundry bags, craft supplies and school supplies.
