Child Protection Substance Abuse Initiative (CPSAI)

The primary concern of the CPSAI Program is the safety and well-being of children. By treating the alcohol/drug problems of the caregivers, we help provide a more secure environment for children.

CPSAI is a collaboration between CFS and the Division of Youth and Family Services. Our certified alcohol and drug counselors are located in county DYFS offices across Southern New Jersey. These counselors conduct evaluations on parents and caregivers who are suspected of having substance abuse problems and when necessary make treatment referrals for them.
