Merilee Rutolo

Merilee Rutolo has served as Vice President for Center For Family Services for the last nine years. Ms. Rutolo manages the community outreach and development initiatives for The Center.
 
Under her direction, the Center has revitalized its corporate image and built a network of outreach extending across several counties and reaching into schools, community centers and neighborhood groups. Through Rutolo’s efforts, the Center has significantly increased private donations and grant dollars and become well-known as a leading human services agency in the community. 
 
Rutolo is also charged with managing the Center’s newest major division focused on education and education support services, including leadership of the Center’s Head Start Program serving Camden City and Camden County. The CFS Head Start Program serves 865 children between the ages of 3-5 in 14 sites. Rutolo also leads the Camden Cooper Lanning Promise Neighborhood Initiative. The purpose of federal Promise Neighborhood Initiative is to significantly improve the educational and developmental outcomes of children and youth in the country’s most distressed communities.
 
Rutolo has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism and Government and Politics from the University of Maryland and a Masters in Public Administration from Rutgers University. Rutolo serves on the National Alliance for Children and Families Resource Development Committee, as the President of the Board of CamConnect, as the President of the Executive Council of United Way of Camden County, is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and serves on a tri-county prevention coalition to end sexual violence.
