The Family Support Center is an intensive, after-school program for Gloucester County families with teenagers age 13-17. With a focus on strengthening families and building strong family relationships. Counselors provide teens with a structured after-school program that includes:
- individual, group, and family counseling
- life skills training
- peer leadership training
- case management, advocacy, and behavioral intervention
- support groups for teens and parents
- alcohol and drug prevention and education
- weekly recreational activities
The goal of this four day/week, five month program is to prevent out-of-home placement and court involvement of teenage youth. To participate in the program, youth and their families must reside in Gloucester County iwth teens ages 13-17 living in the home, and must be considered at risk for out-of-home placement or court involvement.
