Community Partners Center For Family Services is a nonprofit agency funded in part through the United Ways of Camden and Gloucester Counties. As a United Way member agency, Center For Family Services receives money from annual United Way campaigns to support programs such as substance abuse treatment, counseling and education for victims of sexual assault, community hotlines and family counseling. Center For Family Services is a member of the Alliance For Children and Families, a national association of nonprofit human service organizations representing more than 300 child and family-serving and economic empowerment organizations in the United States and Canada. Through the Alliance, CFS has access to training, yearly trend reports, and an excellent national peer network. Center For Family Services is accredited by the Council on Accreditation. Founded in 1977, COA promotes standards, champions quality services for children, youth and families and advocates for the value of accreditation. COA accreditation is a comprehensive process where an organization receives a thorough self-study and on-site review by trained Peer Reviewers in order to achieve the highest recognition for delivering quality child and family services, behavioral healthcare services, and community support and education services that comply with nationally recognized standards of best practice. Center For Family Services received its re-accreditation in 2006. Center For Family Services is funded in part by grants received from Camden County and Gloucester County. CFS works together with both counties to provide prevention, intervention, educational and parenting programs to improve the lives of individuals, children and families.
