Zion United Methodist Women Host "Baby Shower"

The women of the Zion United Methodist Church of Clarksboro enjoyed a fun evening "Baby Shower" bringing gifts to benefit the moms and babies in the Center's Mother Child Program.  The evening included opening of the gifts, coffee, and dessert.  A fun time was enjoyed by all, and the donation of wonderful baby items provides mothers with the resources so that they can create a stronger, healthy family.  Many thanks to the Zion United Methodist Women!

Campbell Soup Company Employees

Host "Baby Shower"

As part of Campbell Soup Company's long -standing committment to local communities, employees supported Center For Family Services through the Nourishing Our Neighbors program.  A group of Campbell's employees hosted a "Baby Shower" to benefit the women and children in our Healthy Families and Mother Child programs.  We are appreciative of the new baby items including clothing, diapers, wipes, formula, newborn toys and books.  These items will help the moms interact and care for their newborns in a healthy way.

Women’s Club at Local College Hosts Luncheon Event

Center For Family Services’ Mother Child Residential and Gloucester County Domestic Violence Safe House were beneficiaries of a recent event, Sharing is Caring, held at Gloucester County College by the Women Enabling Women organization.

Women Enabling Women works to support homeless women with children, women surviving domestic violence, and women in recovery.   In hopes of raising awareness and collecting donations for these organizations, the group hosted a special Sharing is Caring luncheon event on March 19, 2009.  Members of the community were invited to attend and learn more about the residential locations that improve the lives of women and children.

Along with the Center’s Mother Child Residential and Domestic Violence Safe House, the Sharing is Caring event also supported Anna Sample House and Eleanor Corbett House.

At the event, Center For Family Services’ President Richard Stagliano spoke about the importance of having these services available to give women the opportunity to improve their lives and thanked Women Enabling Women for fostering a better understanding of  this need.  Tamika Love, a Center For Family Services Program Coordinator, shared a personal story of a woman who has been positively affected by the Center's programs noting that, "The client can now visualize a positive future for herself and her child.”

Each residential program was presented with a gift basket of items to be donated to clients in need. The successful event showed community members the hard work and dedication of the involved organizations.
